We are Sigma Sigma Sigma three, Meet the sisters and why they fell in love with Alpha Mu

 Feature of the Week

Charlotte Floberg, MC Fall '21

"I went into recruitment not expecting anything to really come from it, but I was so wrong. I found my home away from home. I found a place where I belonged and wouldn’t be judged. I fell in love with Sigma on the first day of recruitment, I had talked with a girl and the conversation was just so memorable. That girl now happens to be my big and one of my best friends. As the days of recruitment went on I knew Tri Sigma was my home. On preference day I cried a lot and told one of the girls who preferenced me that I knew I wanted Sigma to be my home. It was Sigma or nothing. Everything started to click and I finally got my bid card with my invitation from Sigma Sigma Sigma. I have never been happier and have never looked back once. I love being in Tri Sigma and wouldn’t change this sisterhood for the world. I have met so many amazing people and been a part of such incredible things. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and this chapter because I know it’ll be great."

Lauren Lopez, MC '20

"Coming into Sigma as a freshmen, I genuinely did not know one person! Not many girls from my high school were in Sigma and all of my roommates ended up going different chapters, but I trusted in the process and God to guide me to the right chapter. Throughout the first semester, many people reached out, encouraged me, and guided me in leadership throughout Sigma. Between my big, grand-big, and women in my MC, I felt a sense of belonging within Tri SIgma. Having a group of girls to rely on and be with has been such a blessing and I cannot be more grateful for Sigma and all of the opportunities it has given me. Without Sigma, I would not be the women I am today. "

Isabella Kinniff, MC Fall '23

"Joining Tri Sigma Alpha Mu was the best possible choice I could've made for myself and my college experience. There are women in this chapter that are here to help me at every single turn. Study groups, workout sessions, late night drives, scream singing, or just sharing feeling, there is always a sister nearby for whatever mood I'm feeling. Seeing how strong this sisterhood was during recruitment is what really pushed me in my choice, and I saw just how right my choice was on bid day! Spending time with my sisters is a constant reminder of why I chose Tri Sigma, and just how lucky I am to be a part of this chapter. "

Kennedi Schaubert, MC Fall '21

"I joined Sigma to get involved on campus but it turned out to be so much more! I have met so many new people and made so many new friendships! I don’t regret one thing about going Greek! Sigma felt like home from the beginning, everyone was so welcoming and friendly!"

Lillian Ashford, MC Spring '22

"So I just came to UL this semester (spring '22) as a transfer student. I never really thought I would join a sorority but I got to UL and I talked to a bunch of girls about recruitment I heard about Tri Sigma and spring recruitment and I was like "Why not?". So an event that Tri Sigma did for spring recruitment was at the house and I didn't really know what to expect but when I walked into the house, as cliche as it sounds, I felt at home. I immediately fell in love with the girls and the values of Tri Sigma! I am so happy that I decided to go through spring recruitment and went Tri Sigma!"

Kelsey Champagne, MC Fall '21

"I fell in love with Sigma as soon as I walked through the doors on preference day. Choosing Tri Sigma was a very easy choice to make because everyone was so welcoming and showed what a genuine sisterhood looked like. This is the exact concept I wanted to receive when joining a sorority and I am so glad to say I have found it!"

Penny Aphaiyarath, MC Spring '21

"It was one random day around January or February when I saw a flyer for sororities doing COR or 'Continuous Open Recruitment' and at this point in time, I did not know anything about Greek life. In other words, we can say I did not know what I was getting myself into. If we are being honest here, I signed up for spring recruitment because I was bored and I felt like my college experience was not going to get any better if I did not join an organization. However, when I first met the women in this chapter I immediately knew that I was home. Without being dramatic, I felt like I have been in Sigma for a year after hearing stories and having conservations with everyone. Also after joining Sigma, I found that I have become more confident and honestly a better person overall. To end off, I would say they are my best friends but also my family."
