Chapter Philanthropy

The Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation works to support its national philanthropic initiative of Sigma Serves Children through the March of Dimes and Robbie Page Memorial Fund. The Alpha Mu chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma is lucky to work with not only these national organizations, but we also have the privilege to have a local philanthropy, D.R.E.A.M.S. Foundation of Acadiana. Through this organization, founded by a Tri Sigma alumna, our members have a closer connection to our mission and to our community. 

The Alpha Mu Chapter hosts a Dodgeball Tournament each spring, and a Chilil Cook-Off each fall as fundraisers to support the philanthropies listed above. In 2018, Over $50,000 was raised between the two events, and Alpha Mu was recognized by our National Headquarters for raising the most money for the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation and March of Dimes out of all other Tri Sigma chapters. 

In addition to raising money to our philanthropy, there is opportunity for hands-on service. Our sisters have the privilege to represent Sigma while participating in March of Dimes, and spend time assisting and getting to know the children in play therapy at D.R.E.A.M.S of Acadiana.
