Tri Sigma Love Story Feature of the Week

"I went into recruitment not expecting anything to really come from it, but I was so wrong. I found my home away from home. I found a place where I belonged and wouldn’t be judged. I fell in love with sigma the first day of recruitment, I had talked with a girl and the conversation was just so memorable. That girl now happens to be my big and one of my best friends. As the days of recruitment went on I knew Tri Sigma was my home. On preference day I cried a lot and told one of the girl who preferenced me that I knew I wanted sigma to be my home. It was sigma or nothing. Everything started to click and I finally got my bid card with my invitation from Sigma Sigma Sigma. I have never been happier and have never looked back once. I love being in Tri Sigma and wouldn’t change this sisterhood for the world. I have met so many amazing people and been apart of such incredible things.I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and this chapter because I know it’ll be great."

"Going into college, I knew I wanted to be a part of Greek life. I was searching for a group of girls who would make me feel at home, even through I was moving two hours away from home. Talking to the girls in Tri Sigma during recruitment always felt like a breath of fresh air during the day. I didn't have to try and be someone I wasn't. I felt free to be myself. Since joining Tri Sigma, I have met some of the most genuine and amazing girls. I'm constantly surrounded by women who inspire me. I'm so grateful for my Sigma girls today and everyday. "

"From the first day of recruitment, I knew I really liked Tri Sigma. Come preference day , though, i was completely torn between Tri Sigma and another chapter. After taking a step back to analyze, Sigma’s diversity, accomplishments, and love completely sold me. When I opened my bid card I was so excited to be apart of a chapter full of goal driven, intelligent, powerful women. My love story with Tri Sigma has been steadfast and will continue to be ever forward. Being apart of Sigma has been a gift that keeps on giving, and for that I am so thankful. :)"

"Coming into Sigma as a freshmen, I genuinely did not know one person! Not many girls from my high school were in Sigma and all of my roommates ended up going different chapters, but I trusted in the process and God to guide me to the right chapter. Throughout the first semester, many people reached out, encouraged me, and guided me in leadership throughout Sigma. Between my big, grand-big, and women in my MC, I felt a sense of belonging within Tri SIgma. Having a group of girls to rely on and be with has been such a blessing and I cannot be more grateful for Sigma and all of the opportunities it has given me. Without Sigma, I would not be the women I am today. "

"When I first heard about Sigma Sigma Sigma, I didn't know much about it, but my big told me all about it. I learned how we come together and become sisters. I love being a part of Tri Sigma! I made so many friends. Everyday, they make my day even better and we do so many things together! My love story of Tri Sigma is this: Tri Sigma gives me so many opportunities, and I can't wait to do many more things in the fall! When I met Lauren Lopez and Brianna Burns last years, I didn't know them and we became friends quickly! About a year later, in August, I didn't know if I want to be in the sorority. I did lots of thinking for a couple days, and I made a choice to become one and when I heard Sigma, and I really love it! Our philanthropy is March of Dimes and also we volunteer with Dreams foundation of Acadiana! This is why I love our chapter, Alpha Mu! This is my Tri Sigma love story! Love my sisters!"

"I didn't even know that spring recruitment existed. One of my roommates came up to me and told me to come to a sigma event with her to meet everyone and see what they were all about. I went to IHOP and I absolutely loved everyone's vibes. I felt like I had known these girls forever even though I had just met them 10 minutes prior. I knew at that moment that I wanted to be a Sigma. When I got the call saying I received the bid, I was at work and couldn't stop smiling. I was over the moon happy. Ever since then, joining Sigma has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I made so many new friends, found people to live with, and found myself more than I ever could have dreamed."

"I joined sigma to get involved on campus but it turned out to be so much more! I have met so many new people and made so many new friendships! I don’t regret one thing about going Greek! Sigma felt like home from the beginning, everyone was so welcoming and friendly!"

"I really felt like I belonged in Tri Sigma after my first sisterhood retreat. I was so scared and apprehensive about meeting new people and putting myself out there, but it was so easy to bond with the older members. They just made me feel at ease and comfortable, so I felt like I could really be myself. It’s something I will always remember and appreciate, so I try to be that kind of person in Sigma now."

"So I just came to UL this semester (spring '22) as a transfer student. I never really thought I would join a sorority but I got to UL and I talked to a bunch of girls about recruitment and I heard about Tri Sigma and spring recruitment and I was like "why not?". So an event that Tri Sigma did for spring recruitment was at the house and I didn't really know what to expect but when I walked into the house, as cliche as it sounds, I felt at home. I immediately fell in love with the girls and the values of Tri Sigma! I am so happy that I decided to go through spring recruitment and went Tri Sigma!"

"I fell in love with Sigma as soon as I walked through the doors on preference day. Choosing Tri Sigma was a very easy choice to make because everyone was so welcoming and showed what a genuine sisterhood looked like. This is the exact concept I wanted to receive when joining a sorority and I am so glad to say I have found it!"

"It was one random day around January or February when I saw a flyer for sororities doing COR or 'Continuous Open Recruitment' and at this point in time, I did not know anything about greek life. In others words, we can say I did not know what I was getting myself into. If we are being honest here, I signed up for spring recruitment because I was bored and I felt like my college experience was not going to get any better if I did not join an organization. However, when I first met the women in this chapter I immediately knew that I was home. Without being dramatic, I felt like I have been in Sigma for a year after hearing stories and having conservations with everyone. Also after joining Sigma, I found that I have became more confident and honestly a better person overall. To end off, I would say they are my best friends but also my family."
